Do you know how the radio frequency is divided?
Author:
The so-called frequency is the frequency of the radio signal generated by the walkie-talkie during communication. In order to ensure that the vast majority of users' calls are not interfered and the frequency resources are reasonably used, the National Radio Station Management Committee has divided the use of frequencies and stipulated that different industries use the corresponding frequency range. According to the regulations of the China Radio Regulatory Commission, the interphone frequency is generally divided as follows:
professional interphone: V segment 136-174MHz;
U segment 400-470MHz;
Police: 350-390MHz;
Coast: 220MHz;
Amateur: 433MHz;
Civil Interphone: 409MHz-410MHz, according to electromagnetic theory
, the longer the wavelength, the weaker the ability of the wave to penetrate the building, but the stronger the diffraction ability; the higher the frequency, the shorter the wavelength, the stronger the ability of the wave to penetrate the building, but the weaker the diffraction ability. Therefore, for professional walkie-talkies, U segment (400-470MHz) is more suitable for cities because of the high density of buildings and the need for strong radio wave penetration. However, when using walkie-talkies in open areas such as wilderness or sea surface, it is necessary to use radio waves with strong diffraction ability, so it is more appropriate to choose V segment (136MHz-174MHz).
Civil walkie-talkie is also called FRS(Family Radio Service). The Ministry of Information Industry of China announced the opening of the civil walkie-talkie market on December 6, 2001. Its open frequency band is 409MHz-410MHz, with a total of 20 channels, called "Public Channel". The small walkie-talkie in our hands now belongs to this category. Since most handsets do not have these channels preset, we must manually adjust to the corresponding frequency to realize intercommunication. (Amateur stations in the 400M band use 430MHz-440MHz, but many stations can be adjusted to 409-410MHz), and not all civil walkie-talkies also have sub-tone (CTCSS/CDCSS) and squelch functions. Beifeng according to the development of the industry, all the current Beifeng interphone with channel scanning, channel monitoring and sub-tone, squelch and other rich features!

The open frequency of FRS in other countries and regions is different from that in China, some friends have civilian walkie-talkies exported to foreign countries or bought from abroad, and walkie-talkies sold in China cannot be exchanged because they have not been adjusted to the corresponding frequency (these frequencies are illegal in domestic applications and require special attention).
